Music : Recorder Karate 

In this class students will learn musical theory concepts such as note names, fingerings, rhythms, time signatures, key signatures, in addition to basic recorder logistics as they participate in the The Recorder Karate program. This curriculum is designed to teach students how to play the recorder while utilizing a positive reward system in which students receive colored "karate belts" to hang from their recorders for each progressively more difficult tune they learn to play.
