How much do your students really know about how America was formed? In this engaging, multi-semester course, we’ll slow down and take the time to build a deep, meaningful understanding of American history—from its earliest beginnings to its foundational years. This semester (Semester 1) covers Prehistory through the 13 Colonies. We’ll explore: Early American prehistory and ancient cultures Famous explorers and trade routes Native American civilizations The formation of the original 13 colonies Each week, students will embark on a new “voyage” through time—uncovering original documents, learning about navigational instruments, discovering fascinating legends, inventions, and pivotal battles. Along the way, we’ll challenge common myths and replace them with real, evidence-based stories. Requirements: Students should be able to do copywork, as it will be part of our weekly activities. This class is a fun and enriching addition to any history curriculum—perfect for homeschool families who want their learners to connect deeply with America's roots.
